Senior Tax Manager - Trust & Estate Chicago, IL | On-Site | $150,000 - $170,000 /yr | Full-Time A well established and growing accounting and consulting firm with a strong reputation in the Chicago area is hiring an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This firm is known for investing in its people, promoting from within, and giving employees real ownership over client relationships and career growth. What You'll Do: Oversee complex tax engagements from planning through completion, including budgeting and reviewing work for accuracy Review tax returns with a focus on high net worth individuals and pass through entities Supervise, train, and mentor staff, providing hands on guidance and constructive feedback Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor Identify tax planning opportunities and stay current on regulatory changes Research technical tax questions and support the team with complex issues Spot cross selling opportunities and contribute to business development efforts Manage multiple engagements at once while keeping projects on track and on budget What You Bring: Active CPA license required Experience managing tax engagements involving Trust and Estate work Exposure to manufacturing, construction, or nonprofit clients is a plus Proficiency with CCH and QuickBooks Online Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing staff Reliable transportation for occasional travel to client sites What's In It For You: Full medical, dental, and vision coverage 5 weeks of PTO A firm culture that genuinely cares about employee growth and work life balance Clear path to take on direct reports and grow into firm leadership Opportunity to specialize and build deep industry expertise This is a chance to step into a Tax Manager role with a firm that values its people and offers real room to grow.
