The Host position is about:
- Ensuring the guest dining experience, as a whole, is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant
- Responsible for taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and thanking guests as they depart
- Assign all necessary tables pre-shift and provide servers with appropriate chits
- Answer phones throughout the shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel as necessary
- Pull out chairs, seat guests, provide menus once seated
- Additional opening and closing side work-related job duties: cleaning, stocking, setting up host stand for next shift
