Senior Accountant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a $1B PE backed manufacturer seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting operations and contribute to a strong financial reporting environment. This individual will play a critical role in the month-end close process, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliations & Close Activities

• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Support month-end close activities and ensure compliance with established deadlines and internal controls.
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury-related transactions across multiple business units.

Intercompany Accounting

• Process intercompany transactions and settlements across multiple entities.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and research discrepancies.
• Partner with accounting team members to ensure consistency in allocations, charges, and accounting treatment.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Document accounting procedures and workflows in a clear and organized manner.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process enhancements and automation.
• Develop standardized templates, process guides, and supporting documentation to strengthen accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or BlackLine is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
