Journeyman Electrician – Service Technician (DFW Area)

Amtex Electric is hiring! We’re a fast-growing electrical contractor serving commercial and retail clients throughout the DFW area. We’re looking for a licensed Journeyman Electrician with solid service experience and a problem-solving mindset to join our team of professionals.

This is a field service role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident working independently, and can troubleshoot on the fly.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair lighting and power issues

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, and outlets

• Replace lamps, ballasts, and LED drivers

• Perform site lighting maintenance and repairs

• Upgrade electrical systems and circuits to meet customer needs or code requirements

• Interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics

• Maintain detailed and accurate service records for each job

• Communicate job status and needs clearly with dispatch and management

• Ensure all work is performed by NEC, local codes, and safety standards

• Perform daily vehicle and tool inspections

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all job sites

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license (Texas)

• 5+ years of commercial electrical experience

• Must provide your own tools

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Clean driving record and ability to travel throughout the DFW area
