This position involves receiving shipments, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for production or shipment. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards and company protocols.Management ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Essential Job FunctionsUse forklift to move materials and product within department as instructed; this may include steel coils, dies, baskets and containers, vinyl, welded components, etc.Load and unload trucks at shipping and receiving docks as instructedVerify part numbers, quantities, and purchase order information against packing slipsWork in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulationsAccurately complete paperwork required for production recordsOperate Radio Frequency equipment to transact inventoryCycle count inventory and research problemsProcess small parcel (UPS) shipments and receiptsProcess outbound shipments and inbound receiptsPick boxed material from warehousePrint bar code label to identify productOperate forklift out-of-doors in a scrap dumping locationAudit the warehouse inventory discrepancies and concludes the most probable cause of errorsPrepare a daily report of audit resultsKey all warehouse inventory adjustmentsPerforms other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesAbility to operate numerous forklifts: electric stand-up, electric sit-down, L.P. and side load, in a warehouse environmentAbility to communicate well with othersAbility to read and understand routings, work orders, manifests, and production reportsAbility to count accuratelyAbility to take instructions and work with little supervisionAbility to operate overhead craneAbility to use EPICOR computer softwareMust be a team player with focus on customer service and qualityMust have solid work attendance and be reliableEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh School degree or equivalentPrior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferredForklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment preferredPhysical RequirementsMust have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.Must be able to see details at close range.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to read work instructions and drawings.Must be able to work at a fast pace.Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by lifting, walking, bending, twisting and carrying materials.Premier Marine offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support employees' health, well-being, and growth.
