Cardiac Telemetry unit HARD STOP: Prior travel experience and experience managing continuous IV medications below required. Please confirm experience upon submission to avoid delays Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin Insulin drips Minimum Experience: 2 years - First time travelers not acceptedPatient Population: Adults to GeriatricsCertifications Required: BLS, ACLSGeneral Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management; Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema) PE, DVT Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia) Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains). Occasional vascular patients, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA. Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow. These patients are transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit. Will need: TR Bands as well as EVERYTHING under the Med Surg umbrella including basic arrhythmia knowledge.Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 bedsUnit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBARScrub Color: Navy BlueRTO: Maximum of 7 days per contractWeekends: Typically every other weekend though perm staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as neededFloating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as neededCall Requirements: Call is rare, response time is 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex, this is for core staff to manageHolidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.Major Holidays are listed below:Memorial DayIndependence DayLabor DayThanksgiving/Black FridayChristmas Eve/Christmas DayNew Years Eve/New Years DayCompliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.Client Offer - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.
