FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Perform cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintain sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities. This position requires completion of a Food Safety Manager Program. Location: Westminster Public Schools – 6933 Raleigh Street, Westminster, CO 80030 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM (full‑time) Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment. Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment and utensils. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements. Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Relay relevant information to supervisor. Perform sales transactions: enter sales into the cash register, make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment, issue receipts, and follow procedures for issuing cash refunds. Manage all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards. Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned.
