Job Title: Sourcing Manager

Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

Duties

:The Sourcing Manager negotiates with suppliers to obtain materials and services at the best total cost of ownership by developing and implementing strategies focused on cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements, and process efficiencies. This role utilizes strategic sourcing methodologies and industry knowledge to support efficient procurement processes, reduce costs, and maximize organizational value while supporting daily business operations

• .Complete non-strategic service and material purchase requests by reviewing specifications and scope of work requirements
• .Determine whether a Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Quote (RFQ) is required and manage the sourcing process from initiation through award
• .Administer RFI, RFP, and RFQ events and negotiate cost-effective agreements with suppliers while balancing procurement objectives related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction
• .Collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Legal teams to negotiate contractual terms and conditions that minimize organizational risk and support business objectives
• .Lead contract negotiations through execution and coordinate contract amendments, modifications, and change requests as required
• .Partner with Supplier Quality and Performance teams, Strategic Sourcing, and business stakeholders to develop suppliers, improve operational effectiveness, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• .Support procurement frameworks, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive process excellence and operational efficiencies
• .Work with department leadership to develop procurement best practices and resolve sourcing-related issues throughout the organization
• .Utilize portfolio analysis, market intelligence, and competitive benchmarking data to manage supplier performance and identify cost reduction opportunities
• .Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• .Manage contracts throughout the lifecycle, including monitoring spend, contract expiration dates, renewals, and compliance requirements
• .Ensure commercial, legal, and contractual compliance with company policies, procedures, and procurement standards
• .Perform additional duties as assigned

.Required Skills

• :Strong knowledge of the complete procurement lifecycle, including experience managing Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Information (RFI) processes
• .Understanding of business law, commercial terms and conditions, contract administration, and supplier negotiations
• .Ability to develop and improve sourcing management processes, establish performance metrics, and engage suppliers on operational, strategic, and financial matters
• .Knowledge of procurement governance, controls, and escalation processes
• .Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, provide exceptional customer service, and effectively resolve issues
• .Ability to analyze technical drawings, project scopes, and Statements of Work (SOW) to develop sourcing packages and contractual agreements
• .Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• .Strong supplier management, contract negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• .Proven experience creating, reviewing, negotiating, and modifying contracts while ensuring alignment with company standards and business requirements

.Technical Skills

• :Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• .Experience with Power BI
• .Experience using ServiceNow
• .Experience with SAP
• .Experience with Ariba procurement and sourcing platforms

.Preferred Qualifications

• :Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, supplier relationship management, or related fields
• .Experience supporting large corporate, utility, energy, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
• .Strong understanding of supplier performance management, spend analysis, and cost optimization strategies
