Elevate Hilti’s Social Presence

Under the direction of the Social & Visual Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for building awareness and engagement for the Hilti brand through the development, execution, and optimization of social media programs. This role's primary focus is the development and growth of Hilti North America's TikTok presence, including content strategy, content creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking.
Additionally, this role is responsible for supporting Hilti's presence on Reddit through proactive community management, participation in technical discussions, answering product and installation-related questions, and collaborating with subject matter experts to provide credible, helpful guidance. The role helps increase brand visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and support discoverability across search engines and AI-generated responses through authentic community engagement.
The Social Media Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subject matter experts to create relevant content, foster online communities, and help execute social media initiatives aligned with business objectives.

What You'll do

• Develop and execute TikTok content strategies that support Hilti business objectives, audience growth, and brand awareness. Manage the full content lifecycle including ideation, production, editing, publishing, community engagement, and performance reporting.
• Create engaging short-form content including product demonstrations, jobsite content, customer stories, creator collaborations, employee-generated content, and educational videos.
• Monitor TikTok trends, platform updates, content formats, and best practices to identify opportunities that improve channel performance and engagement.
• Build relationships with internal subject matter experts, employees, customers, and creators to support content development and authentic storytelling.
• Manage Reddit community engagement by participating in technical discussions, answering questions, providing product and installation guidance, and connecting users with relevant resources.
• Partner with product, engineering, field, and technical teams to ensure accurate information is shared across social and community platforms while strengthening Hilti's technical credibility and visibility.
• Monitor conversations related to Hilti, competitors, products, and industry topics to identify customer insights, engagement opportunities, and potential brand risks.
• Track social media and community performance metrics, recommend optimizations, and support product launches, campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives through content creation and community engagement.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, social platforms, and content creation tools while ensuring all activities align with Hilti brand guidelines, legal requirements, and social media best practices.

What You’ll Bring

• This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or visa sponsorship (including initial, transfer, or extension), and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
• Minimum three (3) years’ social media experience required. For internal candidates, 2-3 years of field experience with demonstrated use of social platforms for connecting with customers and promotion Hilti products, software, and services.
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Proven ability to work in a demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills required with the ability to deliver results within short timeframes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and proofreading.
• Strong collaborator that possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with social media management platforms like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Falcon, or similar.
• Experience using video editing and creative software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools preferred.

Working Conditions

• Normal office conditions with occasional jobsite visits required. Up to 10% domestic travel, required.

Adverse Working Conditions

• Job requires occasionally walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces, as well as climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs during all seasons of the year.
• Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold.
• Construction jobsites may expose employees to excessively loud noises.

Safety Equipment Required

• Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by all safety regulations as required by Hilti, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and General Contractors.
• Ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some jobsites.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to walk on construction projects, climb scaffolding, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds of audio/visual equipment.
