Roadway Engineer III

HNTB is seeking a qualified engineer to develop, produce, and validate design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned infrastructure projects. The role collaborates with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to research, develop, design, and deliver project deliverables and ensure quality control. What You'll Do Complete assigned work within schedule and hours provided. Assist in developing project specifications. Develop discipline‑specific engineering project elements and deliverables (reports, designs, plans). Aid in coordination and productivity of project team members. Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering team members. Collaborate with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects. Perform quality control reviews of discipline‑specific deliverables. Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience. Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience. PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience. What You'll Bring Optimizing work processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Independently progressing the majority of designs and tasks. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Deep understanding of applied engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles. Strong time‑management and proactive forecasting skills. What We Prefer Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Professional Engineer (PE) certification. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline). Additional certifications as relevant. Location: Lake Mary, FL.
