Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for an exciting travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care and implementing patient care protocols in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Unit.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Obtain and record initial assessment and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement a measurable individualized plan of care for the patient.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcome; modify the plan of care accordingly.
• Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate the plan of care.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Current NRP certification required
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served
• Sensitivity to patients' rights in the delivery of care
• Clear and concise communication appropriate to the developmental age of patient
• Experience for newly hired nurses with two or less years will start at CN I status; consideration for higher clinical ladder level based on relevant experience, certification, and education
