Position Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to drive business deposit and treasury-management growth by developing new relationships, expanding existing relationships, and positioning the credit union as the primary operating financial institution for business members.

Essential Functions:

• Business Deposit Growth & Relationship Development
  • Prospect and develop new business relationships
  • Grow checking, savings, money market, and term deposits
  • Build and manage an active sales pipeline
  • Achieve assigned deposit and relationship growth goals
    
    
    
• Sales Discipline & Relationship Management
  • Maintain prospect and relationship activity
  • Track pipeline, calling activity, balances, and production
  • Conduct structured relationship reviews
  • Ensure sales activities meet documentation and compliance expectations
    
    
    
• Treasury Management & Business Solutions
  • Identify business cash-management needs
  • Recommend ACH, RDS, wires, Positive Pay, and merchant solutions
  • Expand treasury-service adoption
  • Partner with operations on solution implementation
    
    
    
• Relationship Expansion & Cross-Sell
  • Deepen existing business member relationships
  • Identify lending and additional product opportunities
  • Coordinate referrals with Business Banking and Retail colleagues
  • Increase products, balances, and relationship retention
    
    
    
• Business Development & Market Engagement
  • Develop referral networks
  • Participate in chambers, community organizations, and business events
  • Support employer, nonprofit, municipal, and strategic partnerships
  • Build market visibility and prospect pipelines

Qualifications:

Experience, Education & Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related field required.
• Requires a minimum of five years of experience in business banking, treasury management sales, commercial banking, business development, or consultative financial services sales
• Demonstrated success developing new business relationships, generating deposits, and achieving sales or production goals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of business deposit products, cash management services, and business financial operations 
• Proven ability to build referral networks and cultivate relationships with business owners, professional service providers, community organizations, and centers of influence
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Nutmeg’s market area to support business development activities.
• Knowledge of business deposit products, cash management services, and treasury management solutions.
• Ability to analyze business operating needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and build long-term relationships that increase retention, balances, and service utilization.

Physical   Demands :

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $78,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
