Role Description The Front Desk Associate is a full-time or part-time, on-site role based at Harbor Shores Hotel on Lake Geneva in Lake Geneva, WI. This team member serves as the primary point of contact for guests, handling check-in and check-out, managing reservations, and responding to questions in person, by phone, and via email. Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately processing payments, maintaining guest records in the property management system, and ensuring that lobby and front desk areas are clean, organized, and welcoming. The Front Desk Associate coordinates with housekeeping and maintenance to address room status, special requests, and service issues promptly. The role also involves providing local area information, assisting with directions and recommendations, and resolving guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy to support a positive overall guest experience. Once established in this role, there is opportunity to move into management position. Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating positive, welcoming guest interactions and resolving concerns courteously. Professional Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties experience, including answering calls, managing inquiries, and handling check-in/check-out procedures. Basic to intermediate Computer Literacy, including comfort with reservation or property management systems, email, and standard office software. Clear, courteous Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, teammates, and management. Previous front desk, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; equivalent customer-facing experience in retail or service is helpful. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet guest and business needs. Reliable attendance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality training or coursework is a plus.
