Family Engagement Specialist

We are looking for a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team! As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will facilitate family meetings and provide in‑home support to strengthen families in their homes. You will coach parents to create safe and nurturing environments for their children who are placed in DCF custody, support them in meeting the needs of their children in the moment, call extended family members to explore familial support, and create genograms. We work closely with the Department of Children and Families – Family Services Division while maintaining our own comfortable offices. We are searching for candidates who understand the complex issues facing families, including past trauma, substance use disorders, domestic violence, mental health issues, and generational poverty. Extensive training and supervision are provided. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred Two years of human services experience preferred Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required Reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week Monday‑Friday. We are hoping for flexibility to support parents’ individual schedules, supporting a healthy work/life balance in this job. Compensation: Starting $20.96 hourly. Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree ($21.46 for Associate’s degree; $21.96 for Bachelor’s degree; $23.46 for Master’s degree). Sign‑on bonus at 3 and 6 months of continued full‑time employment, subject to all taxes, deductions and voluntary deductions elected.
