Job Responsibilities Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and design specialized therapy strategies to assist them in achieving their functional aspirations. Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Use evidence-based techniques to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive and holistic care. Educate Patients and Caregivers: Guide patients and families on therapeutic techniques to promote continued progress at home. Monitor Progress: Document clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on track. Education Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Ongoing education or postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported. Licensure and Certification Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
