Sr. PCB Designer

Position PCB Designer – Experienced (15+ years). Location: Northridge, CA (on-site). Responsibilities Perform schematic capture, create component footprints and models. Place components, route signals, and generate Gerber and ODB++ files. Design multilayer PCB structures, including flex and rigid‑flex assemblies for HDI products. Specify multi‑layer stack‑up, vias, and impedance control for controlled‑signal traces. Document designs, create Fabrication and Assembly drawings, and generate fabrication notes. Maintain design history and parts traceability using the internal documentation system. Collaborate with internal electrical, mechanical, and external PCB manufacturing partners for DesignForManufacturability (DFM) activities. Support and present PCB layout design reviews with cross‑functional teams. Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers and stakeholders. Required Knowledge and Experience 15+ years of PCB design experience. High school diploma or equivalent in the United States; vocational or technical education or certification acceptable internationally. Proficiency with Altium Designer Schematic Capture or similar tools (Orcad). Ability to manage component libraries. Strong understanding of PCB materials (FR4), laminates and stack‑ups; expertise in power planes and power distribution networks. Experience creating and routing controlled‑impedance signals on multilayer boards. Knowledge of blind, buried, micro and stacked vias. IPC CID+ certification is preferred. Nice to Have Advanced PCB design experience with blind and buried vias. Experience with flexible circuit design.
