Job Description:


- Position Type: ADMIN-ONLY Medical Assistant
- Work Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-Hours (07:00 - 19:00), includes weekend availability
- Exciting Opportunity for Locals: Reduced rates apply for local candidates!
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in an outpatient clinic setting
- Education: Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only)
- Additional Requirements:
- Flu Vaccine (No declinations/exemptions)
- 1 year of recent Epic experience
- Experience in appointment scheduling and patient registration
- Manage 6-8 provider pools and inboxing
- Typing speed of 40-45 WPM
- Weekend availability is a must

Responsibilities Include:


- Work in a bustling outpatient environment-no regular patient-facing duties!
- Responsible for appointment scheduling and managing patient registrations
- Coordinate tasks for multiple provider pools, ensuring efficient operations
- Utilize Epic for charting and documentation
- Engage in various administrative duties such as:
- Authorization forms
- Follow-up phone calls
- Insurance verification
- Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
- Record history, medications, and allergies

Special Skills Required:


- Proficient in:
- Adult Outpatient Clinic
- General/Family Practice
- Internal Medicine
- Handling pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
- Obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
- Venipuncture and urine dipstick/urinalysis
- Telephone triage
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Focused and organized approach to patient care
