Job Title: Material Inspector - 2nd Shift Job Description

Join our team as a Material Inspector on the 2nd shift where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our food products. This position involves physically loading raw materials into machines, maintaining logs, and performing quality checks to ensure our products meet established standards.

• Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.
• Maintain both paper and electronic logs of materials fed into machines.
• Operate machines to ensure products run for the correct duration.
• Perform quality checks on products as they come out of machines and are fed into containers.
• Mix finished products and prepare them according to established formulas.
• Monitor production needs and perform deck set-up for daily schedules.
• Operate equipment to aid in processing formulas using local control panels.
• Control additions of all metered and manually added/weighed ingredients.
• Transfer batches as required.
• Lift materials up to 50 pounds.

• Experience in food manufacturing or processing.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and standard operating procedures.
• Strong math skills for verifying ingredient quantities.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Related experience in food processing.
• Mechanical inclination for training into SMO/Filler Operator or Processor roles.

Work in a fast-paced processing environment with a team. Expect to be around machines that may create a wet environment due to sanitation processes. Hearing protection is required due to the noise level, though it is generally a dull hum in the processing bay.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $21.41 - $21.41/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Chambersburg,PA.
