Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | 4 weekend shifts per month required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department environment, including trauma bays, burn room, psychiatric room, and vertical treatment areas across a 38-bed unit
• Perform and assist with certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
• Adapt to variable patient ratios based on census, acuity, and volume while maintaining a patient-first approach

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• SAMA, CPI, or equivalent certification (30-day grace period available for candidates who do not currently hold this)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma center or high-volume emergency department setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
