Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Canton, Ohio
Job Summary:
At Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain independence in a supportive and comfortable environment. Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and function
Conduct daily living skills training, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide patient education and training on adaptive equipment and assistive devices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Monitor patient progress and report changes to occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment

As a COTA at Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies
Current COTA certification in the state of Ohio
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic rehabilitation team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows
Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
