Lead Program & Project Manager ERP

PURPOSE:

Responsibilities encompass the holistic structuring, management and coordination of IT programs consisting of several IT projects with varying degrees of complexity and interrelated interdependences, directed to achieve a common goal. Structures, plans, and leads medium- to-large sized IT projects or programs of moderate to high complexity. Ensures that business expectations are aligned to actual project scope and that the agreed business value is realized. Provides overall program leadership and manages all aspects of a given program, builds effective program teams and performs stakeholder management across broad categories of stakeholder. The objective is to deliver programs/ projects on time, in quality, within agreed budgetary constraints, and in line with existing company policies and guidelines.

The primary location for this role is Creve Coeur, MO or Whippany, NJ.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage interdisciplinary ERP and ERP-related projects/programs for all divisions and functions according to budget, timeline, scope and quality, primarily in execution with overall responsibility;

• Establish and maintain appropriate business relationships with assigned business partners, sponsors, key stakeholders for project-related activities and change management;

• Establish and lead project teams, implementing a framework, project plans and enabling processes;

• Steer project delivery, provided by one or multiple external partners and suppliers, also in collaboration with internal resources;

• Coordinate with other projects to enhance synergy across the IT and Non-IT;

• Ensure that project is carried out according to all relevant standards and complies with the company’s policies and guidelines;

• Ensures adherence to budget, timeline, program scope and quality;

• Manage and monitor projects scope, risks, issues and problems including user service requests and user quality/reliability and reports progress to management stakeholders/customers on a recurring basis;

• Provides overall project management structure;

• Define and apply KPI framework for measuring project success and monitor ongoing project performance;

• Ensures appropriate resolution of issues, including customer service requests and customer quality/reliability issues in conjunction with customer quality.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline (additional professional experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree);

• One of the following:

• Significant professional experience as a Program Manager, Project Lead, or similar role; OR

• Substantial business applicable experience;

• Good problem solving and decision-making skills;

• Profound knowledge in digital project management, successfully proven in various large scale international inhouse as well as managed projects, including acquisition activities;

• Ability to lead through influence working in a cross functional team, building relationships with other IT teams and business stakeholders;

• Proven experience managing interdisciplinary ERP and ERP-related projects/programs and deep understanding of ERP behavior, business impacts, downstream impacts, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One of the following:

• 10+ years of experience as a program manager, project lead or similar role; OR

• At least 15 years of business applicable experience.

• SAP ERP experience STRONGLY preferred.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 123,760.00 – $185,640.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
