Medical LAB Assistant

Job TitleUnder general supervision, assists faculty members with classroom/lab instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction as assigned. Prior to class prepares classroom/lab in accordance to lab manuals and/or faculty members. Assist with facilitating lab activities. Cleans classroom/lab in accordance to program policies.Example Of DutiesAbility to serve as a tutor or mentor studentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsProficient computer skill and ability to learn new computer programsAttention to detail and acuityCreative and innovativeAdaptability and flexibleTypical QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentActive EMT or higher certificationActive AHA BLS certificationAbility to obtain AHA BLS Instructor certification within 12 months of hire date.Preferred Qualifications:Associates Degree or higherActive AHA BLS Instructor certificationAt least one EMS "specialty" instructor certification (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, etc.)Level I Instructor certifications (either North Carolina or NAEMSE)3-5 years EMS field experienceAn ACC on-line application MUST be fully completed for consideration.
