Systems Administrator

TEKsystems is seeking a System Administrator to support one of our partner companies in the finance industry. *This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and 100% onsite.*
*Description*
This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems, servers, and networks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience in systems and servers with at least a basic understanding of networking and security.
*Responsibilities:*
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Perform system backups and data recovery
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and systems
- Conduct regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Provide technical support to end-users
*Skills & Qualifications:*
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Proficiency with physical and virtual servers
- Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
- Experience with Active Directory and managing user accounts
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
