Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Quantitative Developer to rebuild the Python-based quantitative modelling component of an Asset Management web application. The role will focus on active equity portfolio construction, factor analytics, risk modelling, algorithmic execution, market sensitivity reporting, pricing tools, and new trading strategies .
This is a hands-on coding role , requiring strong Python development and quantitative modelling expertise.
Key Responsibilities-
Design, develop, and unit-test the Python quantitative modelling component and migrate existing functionality to the target platform.

Translate quantitative models and calculation requirements into production-ready, testable Python code.

Perform detailed code reviews of web application components developed by offshore teams.

Diagnose and resolve SIT/UAT defects within agreed timelines.

Develop technical documentation to support knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance.

Collaborate with Architecture and Business Analysis teams to clarify requirements and design decisions.

8+ years of software development with deep, hands-on Python expertise.

Strong experience developing quantitative models/calculation engines for pricing, risk, optimization, and attribution.

Experience with Asset Management or Capital Markets .

Web application development experience including REST APIs, service integration, and authentication-aware endpoints .

Working knowledge of JavaScript, AWS, containers, relational/cloud data platforms , and modern web application architecture.

Strong code review skills with focus on quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

Experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD .

Proven experience resolving defects through SIT and UAT in structured delivery environments.

Ability to understand the business and financial context behind quantitative models.

Snowflake or comparable cloud data platform experience.

Experience with application/platform migrations in regulated financial services .

Exposure to model governance or model validation .
$32.5 - $36 per hour
