Quality Control Inspector – Honea Path, South Carolina, 29654 Job Requirements / Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Acceptable level of mathematics Requires lifting and material handling up to 40 lbs 90% of the work day Annual eye exam required Must stand 100% of the work day Other Considerations Ability to work with minimum supervision Job Tasks / Responsibilities Conduct inspections according to government requirements, Timken specifications, and customer specifications. Inspect visually for surface defects and dimensionally for compliance with specifications using gauging equipment and masters. Perform off‑line inspections using Computerized Profile Gauge, Rib Optical gauge, and Roundness Concentricity Flatness gauge. Measure parts to print per the applicable prints/work instructions. Pass or hold product for disposition. Plan and perform gage set‑ups as required. Notify setter operator or supervisor of variations from tolerances. Etch product to determine existence of grinding injury. Polish materials to remove etch stain according to specified finish requirements. Operate polishing and hand grinders. Procure, handle, and move materials and equipment using a hand truck, hoist, or by hand carrying. Follow quality procedures related to documentation. May require rotation of work assignments in various workstations or manufacturing cells.
