Overview Texas Oncology is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at the Ft. Worth, TX location. This full‑time position is scheduled for 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Research and perform critical analysis of medical and scientific evidence to support disease‑management guidelines and pharmacoeconomic comparisons of cancer therapies. Develop pharmacoeconomic models for treatment alternatives, case rating, capitation forecasts, and cost‑of‑goods reductions in coordination with the Corporate Office. Implement and oversee drug management, including purchasing systems and inventory control. Coordinate process‑improvement and disease‑management partnership implementation. Ensure pharmacy services comply with governmental, legal, and regulatory requirements. Develop departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in consultation with administration. Prepare budgets, financial reports, and monitor resource allocation. Establish charging, billing, and dispensing procedures, and set drug‑control protocols. Resolve internal coordination problems and analyze operating reports. Implement corrective actions when required and manage selection, training, and orientation of staff. Promote staff development, providing training for admixture technicians and pharmacists. Maintain pharmacy inventory levels, pricing, outages, and recall procedures. Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Serve as an educational resource, consulting with medical staff and participating in teaching and in-service programs. Collect data, prepare reports, and respond to correspondence for administrative and regulatory purposes. Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information and perform functions required of pharmacists and technicians. Manage pharmacy staff, including registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Minimum five years’ experience as a registered pharmacist, with at least two years of supervisory and management experience. Five years’ experience in a pharmacy with intravenous (IV) skills. Oncology background preferred. Prior experience in pharmacy management. Valid Texas pharmacist license. Preferred: Oncology experience, IV certification, and retail pharmacy experience. Physical Demands The position requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and the ability to read and note measurements. The employee must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs, and possess corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
