Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Room setting in a 30+ bed, Level 1 trauma center
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area
• Must be able to independently manage Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, including both eve and day shifts

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA
• TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience in a 30+ bed, Level 1 trauma preferred facility
• Experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution
• Must pass a basic arrhythmia competency assessment
• Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

• Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower rate than travel positions
• Candidates must have interview availability included at time of application
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools will not be accepted
