Leadership Development Consultant

The Leadership Development Consultant will partner with credit union and not‑for‑profit leaders to facilitate meaningful conversations, strengthen governance and leadership practices, and guide organizations through growth, change and long‑term success. Summary/Objective Serve as a lead, client‑facing consultant delivering leadership, governance, and strategy engagements for credit unions and not‑for‑profit organizations. Lead and facilitate meetings, workshops, and retreats; conduct executive and board‑level assessments; and produce high‑quality written deliverables and presentations. Contribute to the practice growth through thought leadership, relationship building and business development support, ensuring Callahan’s Leadership Development practice offerings remain current, relevant, and differentiated. Essential Functions Consulting & Facilitation Actively contribute to and expand the successful execution of Callahan’s Leadership Development practice (including Quantum Governance, Leadership Circles, Team Learning and Strategy). This requires a comprehensive understanding of how the practice offerings are structured, sold and supported; as well as being client‑facing in support of service offering delivery. Be proficient in Callahan’s Strategic Growth Framework and not‑for‑profit governance best practices and integrate these into client and market‑facing activities. Oversee client management with select administrative support. Serve as a client‑facing consultant (facilitator) for a variety of engagements. Conduct interviews and focus groups with C‑suite level executives and Board members for client engagements. Perform document reviews and Board meeting observations for client engagements. Serve as author for client‑facing documents, presentations, and reports. Represent the brand with market‑facing thought‑leadership through speaking at conferences, authoring articles and contributing to public forums. Help ensure that Callahan and Quantum Governance’s consulting, thinking, deliverables and reputation remain on the leading edge of not‑for‑profit strategy and governance. Supporting Business Development Support the growth of Callahan and Quantum Governance’s market positions and competitive advantages within their preferred strategic and operational frameworks. Build internal and external strategic relationships to advance business development opportunities, relationships and grow revenue. Help ensure that programs, products, and services are current, relevant and provide tangible value. Develop and recommend new products and services to support business development. Serve as a "change agent," helping the Leadership Development practice to adapt and flourish under new industry, economic and competitive realities. Preferred Education and Experience Keen strategic mindset. Exceptional analytical skills. Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with C‑suite and Board‑level professionals. Experience working with C‑suite professionals. Excellent verbal and written communications. General interest in not‑for‑profit sector, including credit unions, large or regional charitable nonprofits, national associations, and foundations. Experience thinking through problems creatively.
