Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 36 hours guaranteed per week; Rotating weekends with 2 weekend day commitments; Flexibility to meet unit needs; No call required

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a specialized Neuro Telemetry unit caring for patients with stroke, seizure, cardiac, and neurological disorders
• Work in a well-established medical center with over 50 years of experience providing high-quality patient care
• Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Float as needed to support other units within the facility
• Comprehensive specialty care environment with neurosciences, cardiology, and neurosurgical patient populations
• Professional dress code with navy scrubs for RNs

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Proficiency in peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, NGT insertion, and Meditech charting
• Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure, neurological disorders, cardiac, and neuro-surgical patients strongly preferred
