The inspector 1 is responsible for the handling, measurement, visual inspection, correction, and cleaning of parts. May carry out inspection duties in any or all the following areas: incoming parts, in-process, final inspection before shipment and in audits. Inspector also records data and ensures product meets all design and quality requirements in the work order. High school diploma or equivalent 0-6 months experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read or be trained to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English Ability to add, subtract, multiply to determine tolerances Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection microscopes Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or clean-room apparel Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands/ fingers Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. depending on the specific function. Eligible to work in an ITAR environment While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to sit; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
