Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, youll play an essential role in guiding patients through both routine care and critical moments. Youll perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation across a variety of care settings. The Respiratory Practitioner II provides for the implementation and coordination of Respiratory Care procedures based upon the Policies and Procedures of the Respiratory Care Department.

• You will performance of all routine respiratory procedures the Respiratory Practitioner will be responsible for special procedures, within his/her scope of practice
• You will be maintaining and improving clinical competence, practicing universal precautions, maintaining, and cleaning equipment,
• You will provide consultation, collaboration and education to the medical staff, multi-disciplinary care team members, and patients/families.
• You will embrace and consistently demonstrate Swedish Memorable Care initiatives, encompassing both patients and employees.

Position Requirements

• NBRC accredited RRT credential or CRT if grandfathered in Current Colorado Respiratory License
• Current BLS
• ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC required.
• PALS is preferred.
• NRP is preferred
• Graduate of AMA accredited Respiratory Therapist Program
• 6 months previous experience
