About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Roswell, New Mexico, 88201!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred; charting system experience required Description: Registered Nurse needed for Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a night shift position with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend work is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The patient ratio is 6:1. Prior experience with specific charting systems is necessary. Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred. Key skills required include: Accessing/Managing Ports BiPAP/CPAP Management Blood Product Administration Central Line Blood Draw Chest Tube Management Colostomy/Ileostomy Care CVA Management Feeding Tube Care Heparin Administration Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases Management of Dysrhythmias Non-Invasive Airway Management Oxygen Administration PICC Line Management Post-Surgical Care Renal Failure Management Starting and Maintaining IVs Telemetry Monitoring Wound Care and Management The unit also provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The daily patient census is approximately 12. The unit consists of 16 beds. Additional duties will include collaboration with support services such as social services and pharmacy.
