Job Details Job Location : Houston, TX Salary Range : Undisclosed Job Category : Accounting Description About the Job We are looking for a skilled Billing Clerk to join our client's team. Based in Houston, TX. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing invoices and overseeing the time and billing process, which includes various responsibilities related to client accounts and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of billing in the accounting system, including editing of proformas, adjustments to unbilled time and disbursements, and preparation of invoices. Ensure completed billing is returned to attorneys/secretaries within the established timeframe. Monitor billing received from billing attorneys Process special billing as necessary and required. Answer inquiries from attorneys and secretaries regarding billing, client accounts, and time entry. Assist with month end closing. Utilize strong problem-solving skills, particularly utilizing logical thinking and mathematical abilities. Maintain a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Utilize Microsoft Excel and other billing software to perform duties. Familiarity with billing software and Microsoft Excel is essential. Ability to prepare invoices accurately and efficiently. Experience in handling billing functions and producing billing statements. Knowledge of month-end close procedures and processes. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in all tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Familiarity with legal billing procedures and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
