Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location : Remote, US (EST preferred)

Compensation : $150K – $180K + Equity

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in SaaS or cybersecurity startups. This role requires a pragmatic, independent builder who thrives in small teams, asks the right questions before coding, and ships production‑ready solutions that scale.

About The Role
Youll join a lean engineering team as the fourth member, working directly on complex problems without detailed specs or a PM. Instead, youll be given challenges like bulk‑importing tens of thousands of users, resolving audit findings, or optimizing real‑time detection in browser extensions—and youll own the architecture, tradeoffs, and delivery.

This is a hands‑on coding role, not a management track. Youll be expected to elevate teammates by sharing context and decisions, while driving your own work forward independently.

Key Responsibilities

Own end‑to‑end delivery of features, from problem definition to production deployment.

Make architecture decisions with clear tradeoffs and maintain the code you ship.

Collaborate constantly, but work independently without daily check‑ins or detailed specs.

Pragmatically use the existing stack (Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL/Prisma, AWS via SST).

Elevate teammates by sharing context and explaining decisions.

Continuously improve systems based on customer feedback and real‑world usage.

What It’ll Take to Land an Interview
Must‑Haves (100% required):

5+ years of full‑stack engineering experience in SaaS or cybersecurity startups.

Ability to ask the right questions before coding and focus on solving the right problems.

Proven track record of shipping production‑ready, monitored, and documented code.

Ownership of architecture decisions and willingness to maintain and improve them.

Independence in driving work forward without micromanagement.

Pragmatism in tech choices, prioritizing solutions over “perfect” tools.

Collaborative mindset with a natural ability to make teammates better.
