Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) in Sitka, Alaska.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Varied - mostly night shifts with some day shifts as needed.

Job Description

The Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for participating in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments, including pulmonary function testing, extubations, airway management, and ventilatory life support for critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in obtaining, interpreting, and evaluating pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, and respiratory treatments with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide instruction to patients on the use of respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases, and therapies related to respiratory diseases and wellness.
• Responsible for the cleaning, care, and maintenance of all equipment used in the delivery of respiratory treatments and pulmonary function testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Two years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.

Certifications/Licensure

• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at the time of hire.
• Flu vaccine is required.
