Position Overview We are in search of a talented and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding team of imaging professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Utilizing advanced ultrasound technology, you will perform diagnostic procedures, team up with a collaborative group of clinicians, and play a crucial role in delivering peace of mind to patients through precise and timely imaging. Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a broad spectrum of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part imaging.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase with empathy and understanding.
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure superior diagnostic imaging quality.
- Effectively operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions.
- Thoroughly document procedures and keep patient records updated in the electronic medical system.
- Stay informed on advancements in ultrasound techniques and adhere to best practices.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline.
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
- Exceptional technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques complemented by proficient patient positioning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
- Adeptness at working independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
