Registered Nurse - Cardiac Unit

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, equivalent of every other weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a 30-bed capacity unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5-6:1.
• Perform bedside and hourly rounding, ensuring patient needs are met promptly.
• Manage complex medication drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Conduct telemetry management and EKGs as needed.
• Participate in shared governance and contribute to unit focus areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Cardiac experience preferred with knowledge of medication administration related to cardiac care.
