Product Manager

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Manager in San Diego, CA. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to guide strategic initiatives, drive roadmap execution, and align business priorities with technology delivery. This role partners with stakeholders across the organization to shape product direction, oversee complex initiatives, and ensure successful delivery of business value. Key Responsibilities: Define and execute product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy Prioritize enhancements, defects, and new capabilities based on business impact and value Gather requirements and translate business needs into clear product objectives Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, story development, and acceptance criteria definition Coordinate releases, manage stakeholder communications, and set delivery expectations Validate solutions through testing, data review, and stakeholder signoff Support issue resolution, production escalations, and continuous product improvement Facilitate product demonstrations, training, and knowledge transfer Create or oversee product documentation, release communications, and operational guidance Collaborate with technical teams and external partners to deliver solutions Manage large-scale, multi-year initiatives and modernization efforts Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to security requirements Requirements 5+ years of software product management experience Experience leading product strategy beyond day-to-day team execution Background managing enterprise software or digital platform products Understanding of product ownership, roadmap planning, and strategic portfolio initiatives Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog management tools Experience with platforms such as Jira and Azure DevOps Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills Strategic mindset balanced with strong execution capabilities Able to operate independently with minimal supervision Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives to completion Influential presence with the ability to build consensus across teams Preferred Qualifications Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience Process mapping and workflow visualization tools Experience supporting modernization or transformation programs Key Priorities Success in this role depends on strong communication, strategic product leadership, the ability to work autonomously, and an excellent cultural fit. Industry experience in insurance-related products and policy administration environments is highly valued. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
