Overview

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is recruiting additional child neurologists, with special emphasis on inpatient care, for our rapidly expanding Child Neurology Program. The neuro‑hospitalists are joined by advanced practice providers, adult and child neurology residents and pediatric residents.

Responsibilities

The Neurohospitalist service provides integrated care on the pediatric general floors, PICU, CVICU, and NICU units.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is comfortable with reviewing EEGs; formal reports are performed by clinical neurophysiologists and epileptologists. Candidates with subspecialty training in neuro‑critical care and stroke are encouraged to apply.

Program Information

The Neurology department presently consists of 10 members with expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular, headache, neurocutaneous, neuro‑oncology, and hospital care. As members of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences, our Child Neurology teams draw upon the expertise of specialists in neurosurgery, neuroimaging, neuro‑oncology, neuropsychology and neuropathology. Members of the faculty participate in the education of neurology, neurosurgery and pediatrics residents and fellows. The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Child Neurology Residency Program is an innovative five‑year, ACGME‑accredited program, designed to train the next generation of pediatric neurologists.

JHACH is a 259‑bed teaching hospital, ranked by U.S. News & World Report (2025‑2026) in eight pediatric specialties including neurology and neurosurgery (#22 nationally). We are also ranked as the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida for the third consecutive year and the #4 Best Children’s Hospital in the Southeast.

Salary is highly market competitive. Qualified candidates are eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; academic rank is open and commensurate with experience. An interest in research would be strongly supported.
