Responsibilities

• Support the supervising physical therapist with evaluation, plan implementation, and progression of treatment for LTAC/long-term care residents.
• Facilitate therapeutic exercises, ROM, gait training, and functional mobility activities under direction.
• Assist with patient transfers, bed mobility, and the safe use of assistive devices.
• Document patient progress, adjust activities within approved plans, and communicate changes to the supervising therapist and care team.
• Maintain safe patient handling practices, equipment setup, and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient goals.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant licensure or eligibility consistent with state regulations.
• Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Monday–Friday shift availability.
• Ability to work effectively in a long-term care/nursing home setting.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
