Entry-Level Field Technician

We are seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician to support our growing Colorado upstream oil and gas asset-retirement program and other environmental projects for government and private-sector clients. Based out of the Loveland area, you'll support a variety of field and office tasks associated with environmental sampling, remediation system inspections, data collection, and site monitoring activities. Responsibilities include environmental sampling (groundwater, soil, soil vapor, or surface water), field documentation, subcontractor oversight, equipment troubleshooting, data entry, and coordination of field efforts. Approximately 85% of your time will be spent in the field, with the remaining time supporting project documentation and writing, logistics, and data management. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys fieldwork, problem-solving, and working collaboratively to support environmental compliance and remediation projects. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field. 0-2 years of environmental, engineering, geology, scientific, or related field experience Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate field documentation. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift and carry field equipment and sample coolers weighing up to approximately 40 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hardhats, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toe boots, and respiratory protection when required. Willingness to travel throughout Colorado, work early field schedules, and occasionally stay overnight near project sites. Commitment to working safely and protecting subcontractors, coworkers, clients, and the public. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain certification. Ideally, You'll Also Have Experience using GPS units, mobile data-collection applications, field meters, or similar equipment. Experience completing field logs, inspection forms, or other detailed documentation. First Aid/CPR certification. Experience with environmental sampling or field data collection. General equipment maintenance experience. Strong attention to detail and technical documentation skills.
