About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years in specialty required License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, arrhythmia certification Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience - Experience with post-surgical cardiac vascular patients - Experience with cardiac drips and insulin drips Description: Shift is 3 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may change based on needs. Float is required if needed. Candidates must be able to pass the EKG exam prior to starting. Medication system experience with Omnicell is required. Candidates should have experience with various patient diagnoses, including CAD, post-CABG, cardiac valve repair, lung cancer, and esophageal cancer. The role requires managing cardiac drips, insulin drips, and interpreting dysrhythmias. The average patient ratio is 4:1. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers must float to other units if requested due to census concerns. Candidates should have the ability to manage peripheral and central line care. The unit accommodates adult and geriatric patients and has a daily census of 31 patients with 32 beds available.
