Responsibilities
- Verify patients’ identity and review physician orders before imaging
- Use X-ray equipment to obtain radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs per physician orders
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions; position patients, including movements to assist those with limited mobility
- Operate radiologic equipment safely, minimizing radiation exposure to patients
- Maintain patient safety and provide age-appropriate care; produce diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Verify patient information in electronic systems, ensure correct exam coding, and transmit images to the PACS; adhere to the dual patient identifier procedure
- Monitor equipment condition and promptly report damaged or malfunctioning hardware
- Participate in on-call coverage as required; report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts

Requirements
- NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to starting) and ARRT certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience; OR experience at a Level 1 trauma center
- Experience using C-arm/O-arm (within the past 8 months)
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
