Warehouse Shift Team Leader

Responsibilities:

You will ensure daily work activities for the shift team are done efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.

You will be responsible for directly training and assisting with day-to-day operations within the warehouse as well as monitor employees' productivity and coordinate daily work activities.

You may operate warehouse equipment which may include forklift and reach trucks.

Required to train employees on safety, processes, and workflow within the warehouse.

You should be able to utilize a Warehouse Management System.

You will participate in assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.

You will communicate with co-workers to ensure a consistent team environment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

You will provide feedback through side-by-side coaching and on-the-job training and comply with all FST Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.

You will perform and assist with additional warehouse functions as needed and due to business needs.

You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.

Requirements:

High School or equivalent education.

1+ year of experience in leadership or related experience.

2+ years' experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and employees.

Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.

Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.

Able to stand, walk, bend, push, reach and do repetitive motion for extended periods of time.

Ability to work in a variety of temperatures (warm and cold).

Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
