Logistics Management Specialist

Duties
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to inquiries or requests for technical assistance from other agencies, states or local governments, emergency responders, etc.
- Provides technical advice in logistics management planning and operations, investigating and analyzing problem areas that have been particularly resistant to satisfactory resolution.
- Collaborates with vendors and/or manufacturers and coordinates with the contracting officer to reach acceptable purchase agreements, directing storage activities.
- Provides expertise used in developing best practices that result in inventory accountability, reconciliation, and financial reporting; assist the technical authority on logistics-related issues.
- Assists States, Tribes, and Territories, plan, train, and exercise for the rapid request, receipt, processing, and distribution of supplies and equipment during an event.
