Job Details Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Employment Type: Travel Contract Location: Boston, MA 02215 — a lively, highly walkable area with easy access to world-class medical institutions, parks, restaurants, and the energy of downtown Boston Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 10-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 40 Shifts Per Week: Approximately 4 Shift Duration: 10 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,000-$3,160 Schedule Notes: Up to 2 weekends per month, with occasional on-call coverage and holiday availability as assigned Job Requirements Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required BLS certification required Strong experience circulating and/or scrubbing in the OR Experience with orthopedic, neuro, ENT, general surgery, and transplant cases preferred Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in call coverage as needed Excellent communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and patient safety skills Responsibilities Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience Circulate and/or scrub a variety of operating room cases, including general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, spine, GYN, urology, trauma, and transplants Prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and support case readiness Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality patient care Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changing clinical needs during procedures Assist with call shifts, weekend coverage, and holiday scheduling as assigned Contribute to a fast-paced surgical team focused on safety, efficiency, and excellent outcomes Apply now for this Boston travel nurse opportunity and join a respected surgical team in a leading healthcare market.
