We are currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Jefferson City Correctional Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri.The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist to aid and assist the Pharmacist in assigned duties, including interacting with healthcare professionals and corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the Pharmacy Department.Essential Duties:Typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing systemEnsuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacyEnsuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processingMaintaining pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders, and other records as required by the PharmacistQualifications:High school diploma or GED.Certification as a L1MA or pharmacy tech is required.Must show current tuberculosis documentation, must be appropriately certified in first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use.Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.One-year work experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.Experience in a correctional environment preferred.We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
