About the Role

As a key member of the Hardware team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and deploying the hardware technologies that power our Computer Vision and Machine Learning (CV/ML) platform. These systems include camera and computer vision solutions, edge and embedded computing devices, IoT sensors, and automated access control systems that operate in real-world environments.

Unlike traditional electronics manufacturing, our hardware is highly integrated, application-specific, and deployed directly into customer environments. This role requires a hands-on technician who is comfortable assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and improving a wide variety of electromechanical systems while maintaining a strong focus on quality and reliability.

You will work closely with Hardware Engineering and Technical Operations teams to support the in-house production and deployment of approximately 100 hardware systems per month. Success in this position requires adaptability, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test electromechanical hardware systems, including cameras, sensors, embedded computers, and access control devices.

• Perform soldering, cable fabrication, component installation, and rework as needed.
\n
• Follow established manufacturing and quality control procedures to ensure reliable system performance.
\n
• Maintain organized and accurate assembly documentation, test records, and production procedures.
\n
• Support the creation and maintenance of assembly instructions and manufacturing documentation for new and existing hardware products.
\n
• Manage inventory of hardware components, consumables, tooling, test equipment, and lab supplies.
\n
• Assist with incoming inspection, material tracking, and inventory accuracy.
\n
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and identify root causes of hardware failures.
\n
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and scalability.
\n
• Coordinate packaging, shipment, and logistics activities for hardware being deployed to customer sites, warehouses, and field locations.
\n
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, shipping carriers, and operational stakeholders to support deployment activities.
\n
• Support lab organization, equipment maintenance, and safe operation of manufacturing and testing areas.
\n
• Assist Hardware Engineering teams with prototype builds, validation testing, and hardware development activities.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• 2+ years of experience as a Hardware Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar role.
\n
• Hands-on experience with mechanical fabrication, assembly, and electronic prototyping.
\n
• Experience soldering, performing rework, and assembling electromechanical systems.
\n
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment such as:
\n
• Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
\n
• Oscilloscopes
\n
• Bench Power Supplies
\n
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and assembly documentation.
\n
• Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering lab, or production environment.
\n
• Comfortable using computer-based tools to support manufacturing and testing activities.
\n
• Familiarity with hardware design files and exposure to CAD-generated drawings.
\n
• Basic command-line experience and familiarity with terminal-based tools.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Knowledge of electronics lab safety practices and procedures.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with camera systems, computer vision hardware, IoT devices, or embedded systems.
\n
• Experience supporting low-to-medium volume manufacturing operations.
\n
• Experience with inventory management, material handling, and production tracking.
\n
• Familiarity with quality control, inspection procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
\n
• Experience troubleshooting hardware deployed in field environments.
\n
• Exposure to Linux-based systems and embedded computing platforms.
\n
