Assistant Controller

Leading client relationships in a remote full-time capacity, the Assistant Controller will manage workflow, oversee financial reporting and reconciliation, and support the growth of junior team members while ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards. Key responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for multiple clients, coordinating work among team members and managing client check-in calls Drive the month-end close process, prepare and review financial statements, and manage audit materials Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members while proactively seeking opportunities for personal and team development Required qualifications 3-5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry, preferably in Venture Capital or Private Equity In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting, including complex allocation waterfalls Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements with multiple clients Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks External auditor experience, CPA certification, or MBA is a plus
