What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver Inspect the tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit a DOT inspection report indicating condition. Inspect the bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour deliveries. Drive the tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering the vehicle on the road and on customer premises. Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload the trailer, delivering product into customer premises. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate At least 21 years of age. Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A). At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience. Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications. Reading, writing, and understanding English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. Mandatory background check and drug screen may be required for this position.
